Jennifer Walters has a complicated life as a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

We are finally getting to the point where the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is so grandiose that the folks over at Disney can practically make a series or movie about any character from Marvel’s overwhelmingly large roster and it would be successful, at least in terms of viewership.

She-Hulk is a character that isn’t too famous, and yet here we are, in the year 2022, and she has her own show now. This was a show I wasn’t really looking forward too, however, despite being a fan of this franchise. Long story short, the trailers and marketing for this show failed to impress me.

But I was definitely still willing to give this new outing a chance. Now that I’ve seen every episode, I can tell you that it’s easily the weakest of the MCU streaming shows thus far, but at the end of the day, it’s still a thoroughly enjoyable effort from Marvel, who did a fine job bringing this character to life.

The biggest issue with the show is really the first four episodes or so. They’re… not good. At all. The humor didn’t work for me whatsoever. I found myself laughing every once in a while, but the vast majority of the jokes in the first four episodes felt incredibly corny and almost as if a toddler wrote them.

But once we get past those initial episodes, the show takes a considerably more entertaining turn. It felt as though the writers had finally found the groove of the show and managed to stick the landing for the last few episodes. I also felt as if I truly knew Jennifer Walters by the end of it all. She wasn’t just Jennifer; she felt like a real-life friend.

A large portion of this is due to Tatiana Maslany‘s incredible lead performance as the titular character. She brings so much humanity to the role, making us feel for both Jennifer Walters, and She-Hulk. Sometimes all you need is the right actor to really bring out the best in a character, and Maslany does exactly that.

One thing you definitely need to know about this show before diving in is that it is absolutely not a dramatic show by any means. Even some of the more “serious” episodes don’t take themselves too seriously. Don’t go into She-Hulk expecting some huge, high-stakes action spectacle. You’re not going to get that here.

If you’re a fan of the MCU, you may as well check this one out, although you should certainly be prepared for the weakest show in the franchise yet. Even still, I mostly had a fun time watching this show, and I am extremely curious to see what they do with the character next.

Although it’s easily the worst MCU show, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is nevertheless a thoroughly entertaining effort, featuring a wonderful lead performance by  Tatiana Maslany.
