The Accountant is directed by Gavin O’Connor and is the newest movie starring Ben Affleck, who has starred in movies such as Argo, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Good Will Hunting.

Ben Affleck proves once again in The Accountant that he is an amazing actor with some scenes giving me the chills because of his raw and very chilling performance, as well as J.K. Simmons who plays Ray King. Both actors, as well as Anna Kendrick, shine so well in this movie. The chemistry, especially by Affleck and Kendrick, is absolutely amazing. The two of them work wonderfully off of one another, and it genuinely feels like the two have been best friends in real life for years.

The story of the movie left me with my jaw dropped at times because of the suspenseful tone and intense feel to the movie as it progresses. I was always intrigued by the characters and how their story would unfold as things went along, and how their story would end. The movie’s pacing is brilliant, as I never at one point felt bored, or felt the urge to zone out of the movie’s story. The writing is also brilliant, and has plenty twists to keep viewers interested and will more than likely leave most audiences shocked.

Something I was surprised there was quite a bit of in The Accountant, was the amount of action scenes and how well filmed they were. Most of the fight scenes and action scenes actually reminded me of how the majority of the Bourne series fight scenes were filmed. My whole theater around me was incredibly silent and stopped eating their popcorn because they were staring in awe and the amazing fight choreography, and the brutality of it all. This is also one of those films that I could not stop thinking about for days after seeing it in theatres for the first time, and that is because the film has so much to it that makes you remember it all afterwards, and that is just brilliant.

In-SummaryThe Accountant is an expertly gripping and masterful thrill-ride boosted by the performances by Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick.
